$tackin' Green - Week 15

Truckin' to the playoffs

Remember my preseason Super Bowl pick? San Diego over Green Bay. It's funny how seasons change.  I'm really just waiting for these playoffs to start, because so many of these teams are garbage in the league right now, but the playoff would-be matchups look actually quite competitive and promising. Can Indy go undefeated? As I write this they just took the lead 21-17 at Jacksonville, at half. I don't think they can, because I don't think they are that good. Meanwhile, it does look like New Orleans can do it. Not only are they super prolific, they have won all of those games they shouldn't have won. Remember Miami? Washington? They are finding ways to win close and other ways to absolutely destroy teams. It's quite a thing to behold.

It is impossible to predict what will happen, but Arizona and Green Bay look like teams with an outside shot to advance again. Obviously, New Orleans and Indianapolis are the favorites, but San Diego is circling the wagons, and people are forgetting about New England. Something very strange is going on.  Let's see if we can inch closer to the playoffs with some more picks. Last week the lone pick hit, and the teaser hit. I'm currently 5-1 on 4 team 13 pointers. Not too shabby. I've got another for you this week.

Here we go:

Green Bay +2 @ Pittsburgh

Can the Steelers even score 14 in this game? They look one dimensional and pathetic, whereas Green Bay is really playing well, defensively.  It's very weird. Without Polamalu, they might stick tight, but I don't see them holding the Packers to much less than 21 points. That should be good enough for a FG win or more for the cheeseheads.

Arizona -12 @ Detroit

The Cardinals showed the glimpse until they layed the egg on Monday night. However, that game was on the road off their best game of the year. Recall the line? 3 points. Everyone knew what was up: division game, let down, road site ... tough spot. Don't sleep on the Cardinals, they know what they are doing and Warner is all class. They'll get back on track with almost 30 against the Lions, who are just playing it out ... because the NFL is making them (and another high pick is coming).

Chicago +11 @ Baltimore

Amazing! I'm taking 3 road teams this week. It usually goes against my theories, but this just seems like too many points. Flacco still sucks, even though they scored a lot last week, it could have been closer. The fans are overrating that win. Meanwhile, yes, it was a divisional game, but the Bears played Green Bay well. This just feels like too many. I think Cutler can finally play well against this secondary. The Bears are looking for respect, that's all. I think that can get them a close game or loss by 10 points. Just win baby, just win.

Special teaser, again 4 team 13 pointer:

Green Bay +15

New Orleans +5.5

Chicago +24

Arizona +1

Last week: 1-0 (1-0 teaser)

Current season record: 23-18-1( .550) and 5-1 (83%) on teasers
